Yanmar Unveils One of the Industry's Most Versatile Compact Track Loader Lineups at CONEXPO 2026

PR Newswire

ASV POSI-TRACK® AND STEEL-EMBEDDED SYSTEMS POWER YANMAR'S COMPACT EQUIPMENT PORTFOLIO FORWARD

LAS VEGAS, March 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, Yanmar announced the unification of its ASV and Yanmar Compact Equipment compact track loader portfolios under the Yanmar brand — creating one of the most versatile CTL lineups in the industry.

The integrated portfolio brings together two distinct undercarriage technologies within a single manufacturer offering: the industry-renowned ASV Posi-Track® system and steel-embedded track systems, enabling customers to select the optimal platform for their terrain, application, and productivity needs.

"We are preserving what makes ASV innovative and bringing it forward under Yanmar to give dealers and customers one clear story and one stronger presence in the market as One Yanmar," said Anna Christine Sgro, President of Yanmar Compact Equipment North America.

A Global OEM First: One Lineup, Two Distinct Undercarriage Technologies Yanmar Compact Equipment now offers two fundamentally different track systems within one CTL portfolio:

  • ASV Posi-Track®, engineered for exceptional traction and performance on soft, wet, slippery, rough, or hilly terrain
  • Steel-embedded track systems, designed for durability and performance in construction and hard-surface environments

Spanning small- to large-frame platforms, the lineup covers a wide range of horsepower classes and applications, including construction, land management, landscaping, utilities, and agriculture.

This dual-platform strategy allows Yanmar to deliver application-specific performance while maintaining a unified product portfolio.

Building Together Since 2019. Advancing Under One Premium Portfolio.

ASV's Posi-Track® technology, widely recognized across the industry for its performance in challenging terrain, became part of Yanmar Compact Equipment following the 2019 acquisition of ASV.

As part of Yanmar's broader North American brand and go-to-market strategy, compact track loaders incorporating ASV technology will transition to Yanmar Red, creating a unified product identity while maintaining the performance characteristics customers have relied on for decades.

Led by Sgro, the strategy builds on Yanmar's established leadership in award-winning mini excavators, expanding its position in compact equipment with a premium lineup that includes:

  • Compact Track Loaders
  • Mini Excavators
  • Compact Wheel Loaders
  • Tracked Carriers

"We've proven our market leadership in mini excavators, and now we're focused on leading in the compact track loader category," Sgro added. "Our goal is simple — to deliver a complete compact equipment portfolio that provides more choice, performance, and uptime for our customers."

$60 Million Investment in CTL Innovation and Manufacturing

Since acquiring ASV, Yanmar has invested more than $32 million in automation, innovation, and manufacturing technology at its Grand Rapids, Minnesota, facility, where Yanmar and ASV compact track loaders are produced.

Over the next five years, Yanmar plans to invest an additional $30 million to further expand CTL engineering capability and production capacity — reinforcing its long-term commitment to North American manufacturing and product innovation.
